JEE Main is often regarded as the toughest exam. But, it opens doors to some of the best engineering institutes in India. It is the first step to the dream college of every engineering aspirant – the IITs.
To reach there, students often don’t evaluate the mistakes they make during their preparation of JEE Main.
Some of the common mistakes that JEE aspirants commit are:
- Keeping patience is the important factor during JEE preparation. The last 6 months before the exam are very crucial. The revision phase needs to be strong and exhaustive. Maintain notebooks for formulas and important questions.
- Students show full enthusiasm during the initial phase but fall lenient towards their preparation gradually. When the concept foundation grows weak, it’s difficult to move on to the tough levels. The syllabus for JEE Main is quite complex and the best approach to follow is to break it into concepts and then prepare step by step.
- I will suggest not to follow too many books, it will hamper your performance. Follow NCERT dedicatedly and figure out a few more reference books which you are comfortable with. Go through the theory first and then solve the ample number of questions.
- As we all know that JEE being completely online this year, there is a need of being familiar with the online mode of exam. Students often are accustomed to practice in pen and paper mode which can affect their performance while appearing in online mode. Practice plenty of online mock tests and previous years papers in the real test environment to build confidence.
Not to forget, stay positive, practice hard and have patience.
